well its exam period now, and i have calculus/mat197 tmr, which is gonna be utter rape in the ass. thanks to some people, the course midterms average was 57, and now the exam isnt going to be any easier, a bell curve is expected, however, i feel its not gonna save people -.-
anyway, what a ride 1st year has been, from the nightmares of programming last semester, to the free circuits lab marks this semester, its been one hell of a journey. many friends were made along the way, and many lost too.
i remember around this time last year, i was finishing up gr 12, and was wondering how i’d be feeling one year from then, and walah, that time has arrived. 2009 whizzed by! we’re halfway through 2010 already…
first year has been alright, engineering is intense but i guess i am accustomed to the workload/school pace now, alright…enough ranting abt school, for now
summer is almost here, with longer days and shorter nights, along with double digit temperatures that bring a relief from the winter that plagues toronto for 4 months.
dad’s coming over in may for two weeks, and im planning to get a ps3 and a mountain bike while he’s here hehe:P
summer research opportunities are abundant at campus but sighs, im too lazy to type up a goddamn resume for it and apply, profs never take first years anyway, rather sleep at home
there’s a co-op opening at blackberry that interested me, so i’ll prolly apply for that. i kinda fit the reqs they need. we’ll see
i also have to give my driving test! i delayed it too much last year and this year mom’s not tolerating any excuses. i might volunteer for the DEEP programme thing i went for last summer, where high school peepsĀ enrollĀ at campus for science/engineering mini courses, its pretty interesting, i’ll volunteer to help out, free knowledge and more friends! haha
right now i’m just waiting for exams to end man! well it’ll be over soon.
thanks for reading this post
keep patronizing!, my next post (hopefully, if i get the moment) will be after exams, and i’m sure you can tell by my tone i’ll be happy as a lark
till then,
peace
