long awaited update

im just updating this coz im bored and also coz someone requested

its been going alright i guess, summer is almost over, will be joining uni in september this year, which is just what..2 weeks away? gosh time flies fast. Summer was good i have to say, was busy with robotics courses in july at university of toronto and in august im just sitting at home relaxing, going out, all the usual stuff. weather has been pretty alright, although it does get really hot somedays..lol its gonna be covered in snow in just about 4 months…

made some new friends via bowling and movies haha, good times with them

soccer after a year

this is an informal post, so imma keep it short and sweet… the weather has improved, it has climbed up from the double digit negatives to the double digits positive, yesterday was awesome at 16 degrees, i went out in shorts haha. played soccer yesterday, after almost a year, kinda lost touch, but will play regularly now, at the school indoor court…

holy shit everything here is so damn open! especially in my school, like, people are doing weed and smoke and stuff in the toilets!  additionally, there are so many gangs and stuff in our school, there’s a fight almost every week, and its usually the same people… our school is only famous for their gifted programme, quite ironic though since its the only one to offer gifted programmes and still we have like so many police cases and stuff.. not surprisingly, there is a police patrol car outside our school during school hours and officers are patrolling the building throughoutt the day..

yesterday after soccer i saw a hooker soliciting at the cross junction just outside our school! like wtf! she was walking on the divider, and like waiting for a customer, its kinda shocking for me as i never been to geylang haha. but the weed and smoking and drinking thing is kinda very open and accepted, coz its illegal to sell weed , but not illegal to use it for personal use.. weird. and to challenge authority, people smoke right outside school… there have been stabbings and stuff too, so if u mix with the wrong company you can get urself killed. (you might think im exxagerating but this IS TRUE)

other than that my courses are going fine, have applied to universities and am awaiting an offer in april or may..

gosh, its been ages since i last updated this blog.

no recent developments in my life though, school’s going fine, i received an Honour Roll certificate for my good performance in grade 11 (Feb 2008 to June 2008)..my marks for my subjects have been up, thankfully. Mid term report card is coming, no worries for that though, marks are good

the weather is getting pretty darn unpredictable nowdays…in the morning it seems cold and stuff but it  i feel it actually isnt that cold when i step out of my house to go to school, and on my way back in the late afternoon’s its pretty sunny and hot, so my multi layers of clothing just ignite a fire inside me, and the worst part is, i cant take it off!

other than that, life’s going fine, i am preparing myself for the harsh winter ahead, i hope its not a black christmas this year, i want some snow at the least =)

lazy ass canadian douchefucks

once again, this blog has been dead for a while now, and its all due to my laziness to update it

today was a real piss off, due to the slack services of my school. stupid people. since i joined school in grade 11, i dont have the subject credits for the grade 9 and grade 10 years ( i need 18 credits  to graduate with a high school diploma, and i need that diploma for Uni applications, and right now i have 4 credits now) , and i showed them my O lvl result slip and they were like, yeah yeah we’ll give it to you dont worry, and when i went to student services today, i found out they still didnt give me the credits yet!!!! and they had the audacity to say “ur a grade 12 student, we have to do it now, okay, we’ll do it now” …that means if i hadnt gone to clarify about my credits, i dont think they would have given it to me, what a bunch of lazy ass douchebags, I MISS THE EFFICIENCY OF SINGAPORE. I REALLY MISS IT

they better gimme those credits, otherwise how the hell am i gonna graduate? stupid lazy ass bummers, i feel like giving them a reality check

on the more positive note, studies are going well, am havin a good time in school….made many new friends =)))

anyways, i think i better get back to my Chem Equilibria tutorial, hmmm well it bores me but i gotta do it nonetheless.

University Fair! / Homework Attack!

What a weekend it has been. Saturday went for the Ontario Universities fair! all the universities from ontario had set up booths there and it was a good chance to find out what courses these universities had to offer. many universities attended, some of which i didnt hear of O_O

I have narrowed down my choices to University of Waterloo and University of Toronto (in case ur wondering, Waterloo is a small city just west of Toronto and University of Waterloo is famous for its engineering and Co-op programme)

So yeah, had good detailed conversations with some of the professors who had come to the fair. I chose waterloo because of its Co-op programme. How it works: A student will have a 5 year undergraduate course, in which he will work a total of 2 years. In one semester, students work 4 months and study 4 months, the university helps to find a job of your interest and liking and u get to immediately apply what you learn in the lecture halls to the real environment. Also, you get paid when you work! so, its like having a extra bonus!

University of toronto also has a co-op programme but it only takes place after 3rd year and u get one year of work experience. I am stuck between which of these three engineering major to choose. Its either Mechantronics Engineering , Management Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering. Luckily, there`s still time to think abt it. =D

Upon reaching home (after coming back from the fair)..i had a ton of business homework to complete, so i started at about 7pm and ended at abt midnight…i was soo tired, i slept immediately after that

Sunday i woke up late =D had a chemistry assignment to finish. it took me the whole afternoon to finish it..and now here i am free..as a bird, blogging

all else is fine..autumn season is approaching and i cant wait for the orange maple leaves to fall from the trees =D

my friend has been facing some personality issues lately and i have been tryin my best to help him out…he says he’s a loner and that no one cares if he’s there or not. pretty much ignoring him..so i have been counselling him and stuff hope the situation gets better =X

my dad has been asking me to do some part time work during the weekends and after much consideration, i think i will go ahead with it. he recommended to me a math tutor job at the nearby thorncliffe neighbourhood office, and i think i am gonna join as they say they need math tutors and are willing to pay good salaries

other than that, school’s going fine and weeks are passing fast…winter is approaching..sounds exciting but trust me, u’ll hate it if u were here

o_0….today was a bummer =D

what a monday it has been. first, there were two tests today and a business presentation. luckily, mr harding decided to show some mercy on us and postpone the maths test to tomorrow. But the business presentation was good, i didnt want to present today actually but ironically we were the first to present,so i just took a deep breath, and gave a good presentation along with my group members, i am just glad its over and done with.

chemistry test was the main concern for today….our topic was Thermochemistry. lol the class before us who had taken the test, like, 95% couldnt finish the test on time because it was soo long! and really…it was! i mean, for one chapter, usually a test would be a maximum mark of 30 or 40 but Mr Chamberlain put it as a 100 mark exam with a stupid 2 marks bonus question…which had nothing to do with thermochem..=.=

Mr Chamberlain ws like, `the first test average in my 35 years of experience is usually about 40-70%”…and i was like “uh uh”….for reeeeaal i am getting those marks,….dream on! getting good grades is no joke as getting to university is no joke either

the test was fairly okay….the calculations part was easy but the theory…gosh i SHOULD have studied….dammmit (#E%$#%$@#@%$#^%&^$$%@#$@^) fuckfuckfuck….i lost stupid marks there….crap…but i have learnt my lesson, next time i will go more prepared.

life…one assignment done, the other started, gotta get started on my “Nuclear Energy” brochure for chemistry…its due next monday….must get to workkk….

its been a while….

firstly, to all my blog readers, sorry. this blog has been dead for over a month now. however, i have decided to update today =D

grade 12 has started! o_O well this school year is extremely important to me, since its this year’s results universities will look at when considering me for admission. so the bottomline is, i gotta work hard!

my courses are generally managable but my business module is extremely demanding! its been what, 5 days since school started and we already have 3 assignments? and mind you, these assignments are super duper long and tedious, and with all the APA sourcing and writing in ur own words crap, it makes it even more irritating, however, luckily in fact, i have completed all 3 assingnments! wooo…what a relief…

maths and chemistry are going good, got the same teacher for maths, he’s okay…just that with him, u gotta do lots of self reading and practice to score well. my chemistry teacher is awesome, really knowledgable and experienced, also he has a great sense of humour which keeps the class fun and interesting

my ipod suddenly didnt charge nor sync with my laptop…fuck…=.= super annoying, had to arrange for a shipment of my ipod to apple canada to get it repaired…the website’s repair tracker says my status is “product replacement pending”..i hope they replace it and i get a new ipod…please replace it….damn i’ll die without it!

next update will be soon, not sure…this semester, chemistry and business management module have lotsa projects…hope i can find the time to update soon..

long but fun day

haha. its been a great day. first, i went down to yjc today! today was their college cum national cum sports day celebration, so i thought it’ll be a good opportunity to catch up with my friends there

and so i went, at around 12pm, met jolene and adeline, simply fun people, had a nice chat, and then also met with my j2 good friends shermaine, shikeen and diana, wasnt really able to have a nice conversation with them though, all of them were busy studying for A level prelims coming up next week. from the bottom of my heart, i wish them all the best!

then, met up with my form class and my CT mr chua, had a nice long deep conversation, cracked up a few jokes too haha. i found out today that monil got first in high jump! awesome! he cleared 1.55m! wooo! haha moving on, then me, boon how, wei lun and monil went to council room, slacked, then went for lunch at a nearby hawker centre..ate chicken rice haha, monil made a disgusting concoction there, he added all the soya and chilli and lemon tea to the chicken broth! HAHA! i swear i was going to puke, on top of that he drank it ! he said it tasted like tom yam haha. then we went and walked around northpoint, boon how left earlier though, so me and monil just hung around, sat outside yishun mrt and talked so much haha, he kept extending the time, like ” ok, 4.20 i go” then 4.20, he would say 4.30! haha..had a great time talking to him, i am gonna miss him, a true friend. hard to find ppl like that nowadays… then headed back home at about 6pm, chilled around, then got a call from my mom to go to her friends house for dinner

so i went, and we watched the opening ceremoney for the olympics there, man, there were so many countries taking part! i didnt even know some countries existed! HAHA =.=, but it was a good way to broaden my general knowledge though! haha

a short update

went to causeway point on thursday and did lots of shopping, well, not lots, basic essentials, i had needed to get myself those clothes before i left for canada in exactly two weeks from today

yesterday my mom’s friends organised a farewell party for her, and of course, my whole family was invited. so we went down, and frankly i got super bored, even though manak, and my good friend from dubai, arjun had come also, we chatted for a while, and as kiddish and pathetic as this may seem, we played catch in the playground that was nearby. i guess anyone reading this would be laughing their heads off but seriously, we had nothing better to do!

today, my dad’s relative has organised a formal dinner for us and i hope the food is good! haha. so i’ll dress formal tonight, prob wear my new business shirt or something =D
